Crafts, Crowds and Cameras

This past weekend was filled with crowds, crafts, cameras and, most importantly, happy clients.

Crafts
More than 250 artists sold their work at the Sugarloaf Crafts Festival in Timonium, the last of the 10 weekend shows we have promoted in the past 12 weeks. Lots of media attention, including the cover of The Baltimore Sun’s Live section, resulted in an increase in sales and big craft-loving crowds. Speaking of crowds…

Crowds
Hundreds of pounds of crawfish and hundreds of supporters filled The Yards Park in DC for Crawfish for Cancer to benefit multiple myeloma cancer research. In addition, attendance this weekend at the Maryland Science Center was up over last year, as families continue to embrace the newly-launched DIY-focused activities and post photos of their experiences on social media. Speaking of cameras…

Cameras
The Women’s Housing Coalition’s new Executive Director Beth Benner shared her vision for the future of the organization in a live interview on WBAL TV. And WMAR, WJZ and WBFF all shot segments with Sugarloaf Crafts Festivals artists about their interesting and inspired work! Speaking of work…

We had a lot this weekend!
