In a conversation this morning with an editor of a local newspaper, she told us she still prefers receiving press releases. This surprised us; we are always reading in trade outlets about “the death of the press release.” It reminded us of how media relations used to be, before e-blasts, distribution services and photo sharing websites. So, in the spirit of Throwback Thursday, we dug out some of the tools we used when working with media—back in the day.
